Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

We are in NJ celebrating the holiday with family and friends. As usual, Thanksgiving was at Aunt Loretta's today. She always puts on quite an amazing spread and this year was no exception. Aaron enjoyed being around so much family (20 adults, 2 kids) for his first Thanksgiving and Clayton even had turkey for the first time ever! Everyone was commenting on how big Aaron has gotten since they saw him last, especially Aunt Loretta's sister's family, who haven't seen him since the end of July. They also couldn't get over his long eye lashes and big hands and feet. Of course, we played our now-traditional Scrabble game. It was a best-out-of-three situation and, once again, Team Vermont surpassed the competition, even with some shady practices going on by other teams. ;)

Aaron didn't eat much during the day, most likely from being uncomfortable from teething. Or, he was really hoping to have some of that yummy turkey and mashed potatoes. He wasn't even fussy about it, just didn't want to eat. In fact, this will be listed as one of our "better" outings with him, especially since we were out for over 8 hours. But, now that we're home, he is downing the ounces like a champ.

Tomorrow, we are hanging around the house during the day trying to avoid as much of the North Jersey Black Friday crowd as possible. At night, we have some plans to see Clayton's best friend and his awesome fiancee. Saturday will be more family time and then home on Sunday. Should be a great time!
